New York State of Mind

Hello everyone! We know it has been awhile since our last post. Since we have recently returned from New York, we want to share with you a piece of the “City That Never Sleeps.” So we hope your wait was worth it. We only stayed in New York for a couple of days so we are presenting our “Night in the City” outfits. Keep in mind, we wanted to keep these outfits simple yet stylish since New York consists with a lot of walking. So welcome to the Big Apple!

“Most tend to think that in order to look stylish, you have go to extreme lengths – hence the phrase “beauty is pain.” This does not always have to factor in your outfit choice. On this particular night we attended Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera. I wanted a chic look that was also comfortable. I decided to wear my Old Navy T-Shirt dress. Recently, I have been wanting to center my outfits with one bold piece so I paired the black dress with a H&M floral kimono. Choosing the comfortable route, I paired my Merona ankle boots. Lastly, I added a Rue 21 choker, a subtle touch to complete my outfit for the night. I found this look to be extremely comfortable without feeling too dressed down.” – Bethany

“A night in New York, obviously one thinks fashion is the number on factor. But after spending a full day in New York, one will start to think comfort as their number one factor. So how to combine both? Well for me, I kept it simple. I chose this Pink Rose dress. The print was loud enough to make a statement but the style and material allowed me to feel comfortable. I wore my black Mossimo knee boots because one, surprisingly they don’t hurt my feet after hours of walking and two, they dressed the dress up. Knowing me, I couldn’t forget a touch of fringe so i added my Rue 21 fringed, cross body. To give a Bohemian vibe, I added my large sterling, mood ring which complimented the hidden colors in the dress. So here is my night outfit for New York!” – Moriah

we hope you enjoyed our tribute to New York! And be to sure to check all the fashion tributes from Fashion Week from NYC. We will be sharing our next project in October so stay tuned for that. As always, we love to hear your comments and feedback. Till next time…
